What is Fuzhounese?
Fuzhounese (福州话) is a Chinese dialect spoken in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, and by millions of people around the world. Fujian is a large and diverse province, and Fuzhounese has developed into several regional varieties, each with its own unique pronunciation, vocabulary, and tones. Even when the same word is used, pronunciation can vary from region to region.
Today, many Fuzhounese words and expressions are at risk of being lost as younger generations become less familiar with the language, especially within immigrant families. This can create a language gap that makes it difficult to communicate with parents and grandparents.

When I searched for ways to learn Fuzhounese, I found very few accessible resources for the next generation.
